On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, the second edition of Club Choiseul Abidjan was held at the Ivoire Trade Center in Abidjan, bringing together key economic stakeholders for a discussion on the challenges facing the financial markets in West Africa. This event offered a unique opportunity to meet with Félix Edoh Kossi AMENOUNVE, Chief Executive Officer of the West African Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM), and engage in discussions on the tangible outcomes of recent strategic partnerships, as well as the 2021–2025 development plan of the BRVM.

Moderated by Mr. Jean-Louis MENANN-KOUAMÉ, CEO of Orange Bank Africa, the session provided valuable insights into how the BRVM contributes to inclusive and sustainable growth in the region, while fostering the integration of African financial markets into the global system. Mr. Félix Edoh Kossi AMENOUNVE highlighted the BRVM’s growing role in the global capital markets, particularly with a market capitalization exceeding USD 15 billion, placing it fifth among African stock exchanges. He also shed light on ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the resilience of WAEMU economies and promoting sustainable finance, emphasizing the importance of strategic partnerships with organizations such as the IFC and the Montreal Exchange.
