On March 24, 2015, the Institut Choiseul and Havas Horizons brought together experts at the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée to discuss sustainable financing solutions essential for the inclusive growth of the African continent.
On March 24th, 2015, Institut Choiseul was pleased to partner with Havas to organise a breakfast debate at the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée. This event focused on a major issue for Africa’s future: How to Sustainably Finance African Growth in the Face of the Continent’s Challenges and Opportunities ?
To enrich this strategic discussion, prominent speakers shared their expertise. Makhtar Diop highlighted the crucial role of international institutions in Africa’s economic development, Sahbi Othmani addressed the challenges of financing private enterprises, and Tidjane Deme analyzed the impact of technological investments on the transformation of the continent’s economies.
This gathering also presented the findings of the Havas Horizons study titled “Financing African Growth by 2022: Perceptions of International Investors.” Conducted in collaboration with Institut Choiseul, this work offers an overview of investment dynamics in Africa, emphasising expectations, challenges, and strategies to promote sustainable growth. How can we overcome challenges related to access to financing while fostering sustainable economic models? What synergies between the public and private sectors can be established to accelerate inclusive growth in Africa? These questions underscore the importance of Africa’s role in the global economy and the need to develop strategic partnerships to support its development, positioning Africa as a key player in the global economic transformation.
