On Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, the second Club Choiseul Abidjan gathering was held at the Ivoire Trade Center in Abidjan, bringing together key economic actors to discuss the challenges of the financial market in West Africa. This event provided an opportunity to meet Mr. Félix Edoh Kossi Amenounvé,Managing Director of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM), and to exchange views on the concrete outcomes of recent strategic partnerships, as well as the BRVM’s 2021-2025 development plan.

Moderated by Mr. Jean-Louis MENANN-KOUAMÉ, Chief Executive Officer of Orange Bank Africa, the meeting shed light on how the BRVM contributes to inclusive and sustainable growth in the region, fostering the integration of African financial markets at the global level. Mr. Félix Edoh Kossi Amenounvé highlighted the growing role of the BRVM in the global capital market, notably with a market capitalisation exceeding $15 billion, ranking it fifth among African stock exchanges. He also discussed ongoing reforms to enhance the resilience of UEMOA economies and promote sustainable finance, while emphasizing the importance of strategic partnerships with actors such as the IFC and the Montreal Stock Exchange.
