Choiseul Africa Summit I Abidjan 2025
12 September 2024
Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
In the heart of Cairo, a strategic crossroads between Africa, Europe and the Middle East, the Choiseul Africa Summit asserted its role as a catalyst for intra-African trade, innovation and an ambitious pan-African future.
For its fourth edition, the Choiseul Africa Summit chose Cairo, an emblematic capital and strategic crossroads, to bring together the laureates of the Choiseul 100 Africa. The summit, held on January 22 and 23, 2017, offered a platform for reflection and action dedicated to the major economic and geopolitical issues facing North Africa, with a focus on regional cooperation and investment opportunities.
A visit to the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt enabled a strategic dialogue with key players in the economy, consolidating Egypt’s role as a bridge between the Middle East and the African continent. These exchanges strengthened synergies between African nations in a context of global economic transformation.
The discussions raised key questions: how can obstacles to intra-African trade be overcome to foster effective economic integration, and what levers could encourage the development of infrastructure tailored to regional needs? The future of economic development in Africa lies in an innovative approach, in the ability to transform challenges into opportunities, and in concrete initiatives that stimulate regional collaboration, paving the way for inclusive and sustainable growth
