Choiseul Africa Business Forum 2024

The 5th edition of the Choiseul Africa Business Forum, held in Marrakech on October 31st and November 1st, 2024, once again brought together key players in the African and international economy under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The event brought together more than 800 participants from over 60 countries to discuss Africa's strategic challenges and opportunities for sustainable development through public-private partnerships.

A Strategic Vision for Tomorrow’s Africa


The forum addressed a series of key topics shaping the continent’s economic future, ranging from energy sovereignty and food security to industrialization, digital transformation, and the critical role of infrastructure in fostering regional growth.

Over 80 speakers took part in panels and roundtables aimed at proposing concrete solutions to promote inclusive and resilient development. Discussions also focused on public-private partnerships, a key driver for accelerating industrialization and strengthening local capacities in strategic sectors such as healthcare, agribusiness, and energy. Special emphasis was placed on innovation, the rise of African talent, and international collaboration — particularly between Africa and Europe — to build a more autonomous and resilient economy.

Among the highlights of the forum was the Choiseul Africa Awards ceremony, which celebrated the talents and projects shaping the continent’s future.

Woman Leader of the Year

Promotion of gender equality in decision-making is a major issue for the development of African economies, this Award promotes female leadership by honoring the best African business leader. Over the past year, she has stood out for its notable impact on her sector, her reputation and her dynamism within the regional, national or international economic and social fabric. Embodying female empowerment, she conveys an encouraging message for the young generation of women aspiring to become the leaders of tomorrow.

To promote the capacity of African digital entrepreneurs to design and deploy disruptive innovations on a large scale in the service of the real economy, the Award distinguishes and honors digital innovation that facilitates entrepreneurship in Africa and improves daily life of African populations.
