Choiseul Africa Business Forum 2023

Held in Casablanca under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 4th edition of the Choiseul Africa Business Forum placed economic sovereignty at the core of its discussions.

A strategic gathering on economic sovereignty

Held on November 16th and 17th, 2023, the forum brought together over 800 participants from 60 countries to discuss strategic priorities and concrete solutions to strengthen Africa’s economic independence in a global context marked by multiple crises.

The forum was structured around 10 key themes covering high-growth sectors for the continent, such as agri-food value chains, major infrastructure projects, and innovative financial systems. These topics were addressed by more than 70 renowned speakers through dynamic panel discussions, highlighting concrete solutions for the continent’s sustainable and inclusive development.

The Republic of Benin honored


Succeeding Madagascar as the country of honor, Benin was represented at the highest level and promoted on several occasions during the event. The Vice-President of the Republic of Benin, Mariam Chabi TALATA, was the guest of honor, accompanied by a high-level delegation of public and private sector leaders. They participated in a dedicated panel on investment opportunities in Benin, illustrating the Forum’s commitment to highlighting the economic potential of African nations.

Choiseul Africa Awards 

The Choiseul Africa Awards honor individuals who have made a significant impact on the continent through their remarkable economic and social engagement.

The awards ceremony is held each year shortly before the Forum’s closing session, in front of several hundred leading economic decision-makers.

Digital Talent of the Year

To promote the capacity of African digital entrepreneurs to design and deploy disruptive innovations on a large scale in the service of the real economy, the Award distinguishes and honors digital innovation that facilitates entrepreneurship in Africa and improves daily life of African populations.

Woman Leader of the Year

Promotion of gender equality in decision-making is a major issue for the development of African economies, this Award promotes female leadership by honoring the best African business leader. Over the past year, she has stood out for its notable impact on her sector, her reputation and her dynamism within the regional, national or international economic and social fabric. Embodying female empowerment, she conveys an encouraging message for the young generation of women aspiring to become the leaders of tomorrow.
